She is in the final detailing stages now that she's mechanically sound and ready to sail. Engine is Ford Lehman 85 horsepower diesel.She has been in Marathon, FL being overhauled for several months. She comfortably sleeps 3, but could accommodate 5, making her perfect for an oceanfront live aboard, rental, charter boat, or for the sailing enthusiast on short or long term voyages. She features a starboard side Pullman full/queen berth, starboard quarter berth and has a drop down table that converts to a double bed at settee. New aluminum masts were installed 2015 as well as new engine wiring and mechanical gauges, starting batteries, new freshwater system and primary and secondary bilge pumps. Teak decks were removed and replaced with west system epoxy, a thick fiberglass deck added over the subdeck and helm has a beautiful teak wheel. She has a new Dometic in box refrigeration unit in galley. The teak interior is in very good condition and is comfortable, warm and cozy with spacious raised salon/galley area, carved teak doors and lots of storage and headroom. After being out of experiential education for some time, life changes have brought him back to teaching, this time in the woodshop and back on the water mentoring mostly youth. Jim has built hollow wood surfboards, cajón drums, and a number of other wood projects. He spent ten seasons teaching outdoor experiential education for Pacific Crest Outward Bound School out of Central Oregon, educating students ages 13- 60 on rivers and in the mountains. College life ended with a degree in Marine Science Biology before moving West to work.
